Chocolate chip, iced oatmeal raisin, peanut butter with Dove chocolate centers, chocolate dusted with powdered sugar, molasses sprinkled with sugar, snicker doodles, and monster cookies with oatmeal and M&M’s … these are Cheri Berry cookies, and they’re the best in the world. They are … simply irresistible!
It’s that time of year. With football season here, and then the holiday season approaching, the house will soon be filled with the fragrance of freshly baked cookies on a regular basis. I do my best to limit my consumption, but somebody has to do the taste testing, and there’s nobody here but Cheri and me. Oh well, it just gives me an excuse to add an additional workout to my day.
Before I left for work today, Cheri told me she was going to bake cookies, and then she was leaving for an overnight visit with a friend. She asked me if I wanted her to leave any cookies here for me. Being the disciplined man that I am, I dutifully told her that I didn’t want any.
After work, I went directly from the office to the gym, and then to dinner before I came home. When I walked in the door, the fragrance of chocolate chip cookies lingered in the kitchen, and I was regretting my earlier decision. I headed upstairs to change, and there on my bathroom counter was a bag with two chocolate chip cookies and a sweet note. They weren’t just any cookies. They were Cheri Berry cookies, the best in the world!
